Only You and God Know: The Power of Silent Truth
Fri, October 17, 2025 I by Ryan
No one knows you unequivocally but yourself and God.
You can clean out your closet as many times as you want. You can reorganize your life, revisit your painful past, and tell your story to the entire world. You can even try to convince others that you’ve finally turned the page, found deep peace, or made proper amends.
But when the outside noise fades and the lights dim, it’s just you—standing before the only One who knows your heart completely.
What the World Sees vs. The Silent Battles
People see only what you actively choose to reveal. They judge what they see on the surface—your immediate actions, your tone, and your choices.
But they don’t know the silent battles that continuously rage inside your mind, or the raw prayers whispered late at night when you ask God for understanding, forgiveness, or just a little more strength to make it through another sunrise.
Your parents, your spouse, your siblings, or your closest friends may think they know your story. They might know the specific chapters you’ve allowed them to read.
But when you are focused on finding peace with god and yourself, you realize that only you and God know what’s written between the lines—the deep pain that shaped you, the private regrets that haunt you, and the lessons that molded you into the person you’ve become today.
Sacred Spaces and Unspoken Burdens
There are things you’ve done that no one will ever hear about, and things that happened to you that human words could never fully capture. Sometimes, those experiences live quietly in the sacred spaces of your soul—not out of shame, but because they are vital parts of your growth.
You’ve carried heavy burdens you couldn’t explain, made choices you didn’t fully understand at the time, and faced consequences that only you and God could process together.
When you tell your story to others, you naturally leave out pieces:
Standing Strong When Misunderstood
Life teaches us that everyone has their own version of “the truth.” But there is only one ultimate truth—the one God knows. He knows exactly what broke you, what healed you, and what still lingers in the quiet corners of your heart.
He knows the pure intentions behind your mistakes and the absolute sincerity behind your repentance. He knows the fierce storms you’ve survived and the immense faith it took to keep standing.
So, when the world misunderstands you, when people talk about you, or when your name is mentioned in rooms you’ll never walk into—remember this: you don’t have to defend your story to anyone. God already knows it from beginning to end.
At the end of the day, the only ones who truly know why you are who you are and why you do what you do are yourself and God.
And that’s enough.
